![]() I recently decided to add a third indoor camera to replace an old baby monitor camera that had low quality video. It has worked out decently well up to this point. My thought was that the more eyes getting the alerts of suspicious activity the better. ![]() When I initially purchased the cameras I gave close family and friends access to these cameras by adding them as "family". I have two exterior Nest cameras on my home. I wanted to post my case to see if others have the same issue, and to inquire about weather Nest is developing account settings further or not. When I added a new Google Nest Indoor Camera a couple of months ago in the Google Home app, it automatically appeared in the Google Home app for both of us, and can be viewed on any of our Nest Hubs.I've read a few other posts about family account settings. When I added a new Google Nest Hello Doorbell in the Google Nest app in January, it automatically appeared in both the Google Nest app and the Google Home app for both of us, and can be viewed on any of our Nest Hubs. The Google Nest app runs only on phones and tablets, and does not run on Nest Hubs. We have 2 people in our household, each with a gmail account and password, and each has access to the Google Nest App and the Google Home app, and therefore to all of our cameras and doorbells. This is how Google Nest has chosen to make it work. Our two newer cameras appear only in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app. ![]() All of our older Google Nest cameras and doorbells that appear in the Google Nest app also appear in the Google Home app automatically (but they can only be administered and have their history accessed from the Google Nest app and on the website). We log onto the Google Nest app and the Google Home app with the same gmail account and password. Just another customer and can't really tell what's going on in your situation. ![]()
